For children with a diagnosed or imputed learning difficulty, school and learning are a constant challenge. Let us help you and your child with those challenges.
Whether the area of need is Literacy or Numeracy; whether the diagnosis (or imputed diagnosis) is Dyslexia, Dyscalculia or Dysgraphia, help is on hand. Our lead tutor, Stuart, is affiliated with the Dyslexia Speld Foundation and trained in using their evidence-based programmes with children and young adults. We use the Sounds-Write (c) programme to guide learners through phonics, reading, writing and spelling and use hands-on, practical ways of learning across Literacy and Numeracy at your child's pace and level of understanding.
We can organise sessions after school (subject to availability) or can tutor in-school with the school's permission. Often children can be released from languages lessons in order to develop core Literacy skills. Sessions are typically 45-60 minutes or can be split into two shorter sessions.
