About

Different Class Tutoring:

Who Are We?

We are a forward-thinking, solution-focused tutoring service offering individual or group support and extension for Primary and Secondary-aged children.

Our tutoring services cover a broad cross-section of topics and help those struggling to understand school-related topics as well as those who need extended and pushed further. We know how frustrating it can be to fall behind or fail to comprehend something in school. We also recognise how learning can become dry for those in need of extension. Our approach is customised to each child and ensures personal and educational success.

Based in the Peel, Rockingham and Serpentine Jarrahdale areas, we serve many different communities using community spaces, not homes. We are flexible, approachable and we want the best for your child.

Resources ...

We use research and evidence-based resources to facilitate and guide each session. At times, a particular resource may be required to cement a skill or concept; whereas, at others, modelling, demonstration and shared practice is more useful.

We are trained and experienced in the use of resources and teaching methodologies to support additional learning needs; this is why we choose to use research-driven resources to plan our sessions.

At times, we may use digital resources and at others, we will learn traditionally with paper, pencil, whiteboards and textbooks. Each session and each child is different and we cater towards this.

Locations ...

Our locations are determined by our clients. We teach using community spaces such as Lakelands Community Library, Mandurah Library, Falcon Library and Serpentine Jarrahdale Library. However, we are flexible and willing to work with you to find the right location and the right time.

Staffing and Experience ...

Our founder, Stuart, drives our sessions and leads them with passion and enthusiasm. Stuart graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Bachelor of Education (Honours): Primary Education degree in 1999. This was then supplemented by a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (Distinction): Educational Leadership in 2008. Stuart has worked across the Primary sector as well as in Secondary settings within an inclusive education role. Having worked in several local schools, Stuart holds a massive amount of experience with young learners. Stuart has also been a Head of Primary until he realised he would rather be with children as opposed to leading teachers to do so!
